ESCONDIDO, Calif. — Wayne Philip Nault, 65, passed away peacefully on April 13, 2025, at Palomar Medical Center, Escondido, California.
He was born on Jan. 29, 1960, in Laconia, New Hampshire, to the late Henry P. and Julia M. Nault. He graduated in 1978 from Laconia High School and continued to take classes which would enrich his skills throughout his professional life. Wayne was active in track and field and also baseball throughout schooling.
Wayne was employed for many years by Rainbow Municipal Water District as a construction crew leader where he developed many wonderful friendships. He was truly loved and respected all of the staff at Rainbow and he considered many of them to be an extension of his own family.
As someone who truly enjoyed the outdoors, Wayne was fortunate to spend his entire career working outside. He was often seen by neighbors walking and playing with his dogs or going out for a run. His love for his four dogs was immeasurable; they were his children. He was a fan of NASCAR as well as all the New England sports teams.
Wayne was at his best when he was able to spend time together with his siblings and their children. He is greatly missed by those he leaves behind his sisters, Jean (Tom) Ouellette of Milford, New Hampshire, and Brenda Eisner of Gilmanton, New Hampshire; brothers Norman Nault of Gilmanton, New Hampshire, and Gary (Karen) Nault of Lawton, Oklahoma; and seven nieces and nephews and their children.
There are no calling hours.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 4, at Bayside Cemetery, Union Avenue, Laconia, New Hampshire.
