LACONIA — Carrie Jean Pike, 62, of Baldwin Street, passed away on Aug. 31, 2025, at the Granite VNA Hospice House in Concord.

Carrie was born on Nov. 5, 1962, in Laconia, the daughter of Stanley and Doris (Girouard) Pike.

Carrie loved spending time with her two grandchildren, Lilyan and Camren. They would often help her feed the birds and even acquired a squirrel friend that would visit often and named him "Chippy." She liked taking Camren fishing and Lilyan to the pool to swim. She enjoyed spending time with her family and taking road trips to Vermont, Maine and around New Hampshire with her parents, stopping along the way at yard sales and stores to get scratch tickets. On the holidays she loved baking and making a big ham with all the fixings.

Throughout her life, Carrie was a housekeeper at various places including her most recent job at the Taylor Community in Laconia. She loved the residents and staff, lighting up the room by telling jokes and making everyone smile. (Hey Igwah, did you get your 97 dollahs?) "I love you to the moon and back." Always and forever, we love you, Mom.

Carrie is survived by her daughters, Sara Taro and Jamie Middleton; sons Andrew Wilder and Anthony Taro; two grandchildren, Lilyan Walton and Camren Dunn; brother Stephen Pike and his wife Bonita; and sister Brenda Grant and her husband Mike. In addition to her parents, Carrie is predeceased by her sister Jenny Judd.

There will be no calling hours.

A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 12, at Bayside Cemetery, Union Avenue.

A celebration of life will follow the graveside service at 11 a.m. at the Taylor Community, Woodside Building, 435 Union Ave.
